Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Synectics Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing and reporting of results with high accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct moderately difficult to complex tasks, including analytical testing procedures and quality control activities.
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain records of proficiency testing samples and patient test results.
  • Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and maintenance.
  • Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of results.
  • Document corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
  • Report STATS or Critical results to clients and answer questions from customers or other lab personnel.
  • Maintain complete records of all testing performed on-site and ensure the general appearance of the department.
  • Review and train on new procedures, attend monthly department meetings, and participate in safety training sessions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple procedures simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to protect patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required.
