Job Description

Job Summary:

Pfeiffer Vacuum Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection: Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders, manifests, and invoices. Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items as necessary.
  • Shipping and Packaging: Prepare products for shipment, pick kits and pack parts for shipment, and post weights and shipping charges. Maintain shipping records and files.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling: Ensure compliance with DOT regulations when shipping and receiving hazardous materials. Clean up small spills and follow applicable procedures related to spills.
  • Inventory Control: Assist with inventory control and maintain accurate records.
  • Warehouse Operations: Use a pallet jack to move products throughout the warehouse and operate a forklift and Joey as required.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure proper documentation accompanies each shipment and use ERP system to process documents and receive shipments.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in an inventory or shipping/receiving work environment, preferably in a manufacturing-related industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under time pressure. Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems required.
  • Certifications: Fork Truck Certification and valid driver's license required.

Work Environment:

This position will work in a warehouse/service center with an indoor and climate-controlled industrial environment.
