Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned quality professional to join our team as a Supplier Quality Engineer.

About the Role:

  • As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across our supplier base.
  • You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing effective corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • With a strong focus on process improvement, you will analyze and optimize existing quality control procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Your expertise in supplier development and management initiatives will enable you to build strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities, products, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans, including risk-based approaches to mitigate potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced costs.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to address quality concerns.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier development and management initiatives, with experience in implementing quality system methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Lean, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, and ISO standards.
  • Ability to manage supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action responses.
  • Skilled in using metrology tools to confirm parts meet engineering specifications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
