Job Summary

As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco, you will be responsible for delivering containers to sites in a safe and timely manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve cargo from various cargo services and ensure it is transported safely and securely.
  • Complete and submit all vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Receive and account for all cargo and submit receipts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Collect COD accounts and report any accidents to the Driver Supervisor immediately.
  • Log break, lunch times, and follow the route on the trip sheet.
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and be able to work overtime as required.
Requirements
  • CDL A license required.
  • Forklift proficiency and certification required.
  • Maintains licensure and PUC certificates.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Produce industry experience preferred.
