Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Sysco. As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering containers to sites in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve cargo from various cargo services and ensure air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment are transported safely and securely.
  • Complete and submit all vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Receive and account for all cargo and submit receipts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and be accountable for the collection of COD accounts.
  • Report all accidents to the Driver Supervisor immediately and log break, lunch times, and follow the route on the trip sheet.
  • Able to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and work overtime as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Produce industry experience preferred.
  • CDL A license required.
  • Forklift proficiency and certification required.
  • Maintains licensure and PUC certificates.
Working Conditions

Requires frequent lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in cool temperatures and work well with others. Displays good attitude and judgment. Ability to do basic mathematical functions, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons.
