Job Overview

Crofton Industries is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including cranes, winches, compressors, and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Must have own tools and be able to pass a background check.
  • Valid TWIC Card and driver's license required.
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering or training as a mechanic a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
  • Exposure to construction and marine site dangers.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
