Mechanic - Evening Shift (Full-Time)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Portsmouth, VA. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on fire apparatus and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain emergency response apparatus and equipment
- Perform diagnostic and repair work on fire pumps, governor systems, and other equipment
- Clean and maintain equipment, as necessary
- Prepare maintenance reports and maintain activity records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4 years of experience inspecting and repairing heavy equipment
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Virginia State Inspection License required
- Master Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Truck and Master Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) required
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The ability to lift up to 150 pounds and work in a team environment is required.
