Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Navigator to join our team at SB Clinical Practice Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the front information desk, ensuring efficient workflow, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients upon arrival and assesses telephone calls to determine urgency and refer urgent medical queries to physicians or nurses.
  • Utilizes Staxi Chairs to transport patients from their vehicle to their appointment and back.
  • Tracks new patient inquiries, including patient demographics, appointment date, and provider information.
  • Follows up with newly scheduled patients to assess their experience.
  • Performs receptionist duties, including answering, screening, and routing phone calls, and taking messages.
  • Facilitates patient flow by notifying providers of patient arrival, delays, or backlogs, and communicates with staff and patients as needed.
  • Utilizes Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other systems for appointment navigation.
  • Tracks visitors in the e-log for contact tracing.
  • Maintains a clean and organized reception area.
  • Provides additional coverage for evening hours and weekends, as needed.
  • Coordinates with building security and management to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent typing skills and friendly telephone etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Office Administration program.
  • 6 months of experience working as a Receptionist.
  • 1 year of clerical or customer service experience.
  • Experience using an EMR and a practice management system.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
