Overseeing approximately 1,500 membership units, this position will also spearhead the creation of a new outdoor aquatic facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Great Miami Valley YMCA is in search of an Executive Leader for our Atrium Branch.

Under the guidance of the District Executive Director and in alignment with the YMCA's mission, the Executive Leader will manage the administration and operations of the Atrium branch, which caters to 1,400-1,500 family-oriented membership units.

Key responsibilities encompass the management of various programs including group fitness, family activities, swimming lessons, and youth sports, alongside facilities such as a lap pool, therapy pool, whirlpool, spin studio, free weights area, cardio section, two basketball courts, a multipurpose court, and a full-day childcare center for infants to pre-K.

This role also entails leading the establishment of a new outdoor water park, ensuring that all operations are in line with YMCA policies and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Education:

A four-year college degree or relevant experience is essential; a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent is highly preferred.

Experience: 5-10 years of management experience is desirable.

The candidate must possess the ability to interpret and understand community needs and secure the necessary resources for the YMCA to effectively serve.


Preferred experience in Childcare Management:

A minimum of 4-5 years in a leadership capacity within the childcare sector, including oversight of daily operations, staff management, and ensuring high standards of care and education.

Essential Functions

Staff Supervision and Development:

Oversees, trains, and assesses key personnel; aids in identifying and fulfilling developmental needs; fosters high staff morale and low turnover rates.


Staff Recruitment:
Fills staff vacancies in accordance with established guidelines.

Staff Meetings and Professional Development:

Organizes regular staff meetings and professional development initiatives for all leadership team members; evaluates performance and sets clear expectations to achieve objectives.


Budget and Financial Management:

Accountable for annual budget creation, monitoring, year-end forecasts, achieving a balanced budget, and maintaining financial control systems, including revenues, expenses, and inventories.


Branch Operations:

Manages the branch in accordance with the association's financial policy guidelines; develops and meets facility membership targets; secures adequate revenue to provide program services.


Membership and Program Development:

Creates and implements strategies to enhance membership experience, driving sales and retention; ensures programs adhere to YMCA standards and strive for excellence.


Marketing and Community Engagement:

Collaborates with the association's marketing efforts to develop and execute branch marketing strategies; promotes the YMCA's mission within the community.


Facility Operations and Maintenance:

Develops, operates, and monitors facilities to meet growing needs; maintains safe, clean, and appealing environments; formulates plans to enhance operational efficiencies.


Program Safety and Supervision:
Ensures that programs and supervision promote the safety and well-being of staff and members.

Board and Committee Development:
Develops and leads assigned branch boards and committees; provides leadership in volunteer development and recognition, emphasizing teamwork between volunteers and staff.

Acts as the Development Director of the branch, recruiting and utilizing volunteers to secure necessary resources to impact more families and individuals.


Innovation and Program Expansion:
Encourages innovative and creative methods for delivering the YMCA's mission; expands programs into unserved and underserved areas.
