As a key member of the Finance Organization, you will report directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and oversee the administration and reporting processes associated with the Cadency tool. This essential software, developed by Trintech, facilitates Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entry postings, and the management of journal entry approvals, all aimed at ensuring a timely financial close for the Controller's Group. Your expertise in SOX controls, fiscal closing procedures, and account reconciliation will be vital in this role. Additionally, you will collaborate with the IT Department on projects involving Cadency or CCG processes, including testing and system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Cadency tool, including the loading of subledger balances, foreign currency rates, and new tasks; assign and verify child accounts for reconciliations.
  • Manage user security access in accordance with control guidelines and coordinate IT SAR change requests for the Cadency tool.
  • Conduct audits related to Cadency, including journal entry audits, internal and external audits, quality assurance checks, and validation of balances against our ERP system.
  • Ensure the completeness and timeliness of Conagra's fiscal close by tracking and communicating with Cadency end users regarding period-end close activities.
  • Develop monthly accounting schedules to support balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the Cadency tool to assist end-users with their balance sheet account reconciliation challenges.
  • Respond to information requests from internal and external CCG customers and provide training to Cadency end-users.
  • Support upgrades and implementations of the Cadency tool.
  • Apply analytical judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assess the effectiveness of processes, procedures, and control environments, proposing improvements and documenting processes.
  • Communicate relevant information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Notify management of any situations that may significantly impact the company's financial condition.
  • Demonstrate teamwork capabilities both within and outside your assigned responsibilities, with a willingness to cross-train in other departmental areas.
  • Engage in special projects related to general accounting, including mergers/acquisitions, SFAS updates, and systems conversions.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or financial accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in researching and reconciling multiple accounts.
  • Experience with SAP and its reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with control software is a plus.
  • Experience with PowerBI and PowerAutomate is beneficial.
