Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced attorney and leader to join our growing Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal Team. In this role, you will lead the newly combined Supplier Legal and Go-To-Market (GTM) Legal sub-teams, working closely with leaders across the Legal department and business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Commercial Legal Supplier & GTM teams, providing legal support for commercial negotiations, licensing, and purchasing, as well as counseling and support for managing our supply chain and preparing products for market.
  • Managing a team of 6+ seasoned legal professionals, including commercial counsel, contract managers, and compliance professionals, and overseeing budget management, coordination of external counsel, goal setting, and organizational planning.
  • Partnering with the Legal team and business stakeholders to develop and implement resources that empower the Supplier and GTM team to deliver world-class support, leveraging AI, automation, and data analytics in our ways of working.
  • Serving on the leadership team for the Commercial & GBO Legal Team, participating in team planning, including building long-term growth plans, setting team OKRs, and managing strategic priorities.
Responsibilities

Key projects will include:

  • Shaping and driving efforts to accelerate customers' journey to the cloud.
  • Implementing innovation in all aspects of how we provide legal support for commercial endeavors.
  • Developing and implementing resources, such as templates, playbooks, training, tools, and team plays, to empower the Supplier and GTM team.
About You

We are looking for a broad-based business attorney with substantial commercial and contract law experience, strong business acumen, and a pragmatic approach focused on delivering business-oriented results.

You should have:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least five years practicing as an in-house lawyer for a multinational, publicly-listed company.
  • 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract law based on working in a law firm and/or in-house on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.

We estimate the salary for this position to be in the range of $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
