Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in various aspects of immigration cases, including pre and post-filing processes.
- Communicate with clients to gather and confirm necessary information for legal documentation.
- Prepare and edit affidavits and immigration forms as directed by attorneys.
- Monitor critical deadlines and court appearances, ensuring timely filing of applications.
- Engage with USCIS and EOIR regarding case updates and inquiries.
- Support attorneys with legal research and documentation as required.
- Collaborate effectively within a structured team environment, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in an immigration law office is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Attention to detail, excellent spelling, and strong communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with reliability and empathy.
- Familiarity with humanitarian immigration applications (such as VAWA, U, and T visas) is preferred.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
