Job Title: Oncology Account Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Account Specialist to contribute to our sales team and drive performance in the Tampa, FL area.

Job Summary:

The Oncology Account Specialist will be responsible for providing physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals with products, services, and information that will enable them to use and prescribe Ipsen's products safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, customer engagement skills, and scientific learning agility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve assigned sales objectives for the territory.
  • Attain designated goals for calls on healthcare professionals to communicate balanced, accurate, and complete information on Ipsen's products.
  • Execute calls on physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to provide product information and ensure the availability of Ipsen's products in the territory.
  • Manage the territory in an efficient and orderly manner, prioritizing key physician/accounts, reporting daily calls, and executing brand strategy through effective business planning.
  • Demonstrate completion of administrative requirements, including budget management, call reporting, and expense reports, within timelines and company guidelines.
  • Operate the territory within the assigned expense budget.
  • Complete all required training courses and continually strive for self-improvement.
  • Comply with all provincial and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines, including Rx&D Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and Ipsen's standards and policies.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understand and address managed care/payer-related issues within the territory.
  • Identify and develop Subject Matter Experts within the territory.
  • Demonstrate tenacity, resourcefulness, and resilience.
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. or B.A. degree required.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Representative, and minimum of 2 years as a Specialty Care/Institutional Representative.
  • Experience in oncology area is strongly preferred.
  • Health education experience is a strong asset.
  • Academic background in healthcare is a strong asset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program as well as our long-term incentives program.
