About the Role

Milton CAT is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. As an IT Support Technician, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance to our employees, ensuring seamless IT operations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical assistance to employees, resolving hardware and software issues, and guiding them through step-by-step solutions.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Offer support for PC hardware and software, printers, and the O365 Suite, ensuring employees have the necessary tools to perform their jobs efficiently.
  • Laptop Configuration: Configure laptops for new hires and laptop replacements, ensuring they are properly set up and ready for use.
  • Customer Meetings: Meet with employees in each department to learn about common technical issues, identify areas for improvement, and provide training to enhance their technical skills.
  • System Management: Learn how to use, manage, and maintain systems like Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and ERP Systems, ensuring our IT infrastructure is secure and efficient.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, issues, and solutions, ensuring that knowledge is shared and easily accessible.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to resolve complex technical issues and improve internal processes, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Equipment Management: Manage IT equipment ordering and inventory, ensuring that our equipment is up-to-date and meets the needs of our employees.
  • Data Entry and Research: Perform data entry, research issues, and other tasks to support the IT Department Management Team, ensuring that our IT operations are running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience, with a willingness to train a recent graduate or someone looking to change careers and start in IT.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively; attention to detail and the ability to accurately document technical issues; proficiency in Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and a strong understanding of troubleshooting skills with a desire for continual learning.
  • Physical Demands: Occasional travel within New England and Upstate New York may be required; must be able to lift 25-30 lbs. unassisted.
