The role involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the software configuration aligns with organizational and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in clinical documentation systems and processes, representing the clinician's perspective in discussions.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of product features, functionalities, and the application software's utilization, including data and reporting capabilities.
- Assist clinical management and administrative personnel with network setup and system training.
- Oversee system accounts for both internal and external users.
- Manage software vendor relationships, including daily oversight, issue resolution, and service level agreement management.
- Support and supervise integrations between NetHealth and other EMRs or systems as necessary.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding contract details as required.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by analyzing their needs and requirements.
- Identify operational challenges and risks, resolving or escalating them as appropriate.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and staff to ensure high utilization and adherence to system-driven processes.
- Employ project management skills to define tasks, allocate resources, and coordinate the team to meet planned milestones.
- Work effectively with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external parties to gather requirements, address issues, or manage related projects.
- Monitor system performance to identify potential problems, reporting critical findings to peers and management for resolution.
- Evaluate new features or enhancements, making recommendations to operations and clinical leadership for implementation.
- Ensure thorough testing and verification of new functionalities prior to deployment.
- Define disaster recovery strategies and participate in related initiatives.
- Resolve or triage support inquiries as applicable, tracking issues to identify opportunities for improvement or trends affecting system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and their impact on business operations.
- Prior experience with EMR integrations, management, and optimization is required (NetHealth experience is preferred).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality regarding all sensitive and EPHI (Electronic Protected Health Information) HIPAA regulations.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills, developing solutions tailored to Mendota Health's requirements.
- Possess strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with various levels within the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), electronic medical record platforms, and Salesforce.
