About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Design Engineer to join our team at Alliance Group Technologies Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing roadway projects, including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage design, and traffic management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop roadway projects, including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage design, and traffic management.
  • Prepare and review CAD drawings using GEOPAK, INROADS, Open Roads, and MICROSTATION.
  • Develop construction plans from engineering design calculations.
  • Perform quantity calculations and cost estimates for projects.
  • Design and prepare erosion control plans.
  • Design traffic, signals, intersection design, lighting, and signing design.
  • Prepare maintenance of traffic plans for roadway projects.
  • Attend meetings, including field checks, public information/involvement, hearings/meetings, and pre-construction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • PE License, licensed in Indiana and/or Ohio.
  • 6+ years of experience in roadway design.
  • Experience preparing roadway plans for DOT projects.
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Prior project management experience is a plus, but not required.
