Job Description:

The Clinical Pharmacist at Kent Hospital is responsible for providing optimal pharmaceutical care to patients. This includes developing and implementing systems for desirable patient outcomes, monitoring and interpreting medications orders, and maintaining accurate patient medication profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement systems for desirable patient outcomes through cost-effective drug therapies
  2. Monitor and interpret medications orders, including verbal and written instructions
  3. Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and reconcile discrepancies
  4. Sustain the formulary by minimizing non-formulary procurements and promoting rational drug therapy selection

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited School
  • Valid RI Pharmacist license
  • Clinical Specialist: preferred residency or 5 years of clinical experience
