Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Professional to join our team. This role will assist patients with personal care activities and related non-professional services under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general patient care and perform routine treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with personal hygiene to promote patients comfort and well-being.
  • Check and record intake and output as ordered.
  • Take and record patients vital signs and other measurements.
  • Give enemas, reinforce simple dressings, apply binders, collect specimens, and perform other routine tasks.
  • Assist the RN in caring for seriously ill patients or complicated treatments.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
  • Document all care provided and significant information accurately.
  • Report any patient care problems or unexpected occurrences to the RN/Team Leader.

Requirements:

  • Vocational/Technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent.
  • RI State Nursing Assistant license is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 2 years job-related experience and basic computer skills is also required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
