Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Representative plays a vital role in maintaining strong vendor relationships for WMC Health Network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews invoices thoroughly, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies.
- Processes payments accurately and efficiently, using both manual and imaging ERP system methods.
- Conducts comprehensive vendor research prior to creation or changes, utilizing government websites, W9 forms, and other relevant sources.
- Promotes fraud prevention by identifying potential risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Collaborates closely with Supply Chain Buyers and Receiving teams to resolve PO-related issues and provides guidance as needed.
- Ensures accurate expense allocation by analyzing invoices for compliance with company policies.
- Pays vendors promptly, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling checks, and confirming credit receipt for outstanding memos.
- Reconciles monthly statements and related transactions to verify vendor account accuracy.
- Provides exceptional customer service by responding to vendor inquiries and managing payments effectively.
- Maintains historical records by scanning and linking invoices and attachments.
- Stays updated on industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Contributes to the organization's mission by completing special projects as needed.
- Actively participates in new system testing and development.
We are offering an estimated salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience working in full-cycle Accounts Payable functions preferred.
- An associate degree in Finance, HCA, or a related specialty major preferred.
- N/A for licenses/certifications.
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, follow-up, interpersonal communication, teamwork, analytical skills, accounting expertise, vendor relationship management, PC proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word), data entry skills, general math skills, and INFOR ERP system knowledge are essential.
