**Your Responsibilities:**
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
- Execute monthly closing procedures and prepare managerial financial statements while compiling financial data for account entries, including general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Lead the analysis of financial statements, comparing actual expenditures against budgeted amounts during the month-end closing process, and propose necessary journal entries.
- Coordinate and assist with financial audit processes.
- Monitor and review accounting reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare revenue, expense reports, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Provide ongoing management and support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels, and communicate expenditure control issues to operational leaders.
- Collaborate with staff, vendors, and internal clients regarding billing invoices and accounting policies.
- Resolve discrepancies and irregularities in accounting.
- Recommend, develop, and maintain financial databases and accounting software systems.
- Prepare and maintain fixed assets sub-ledger, including additions and disposals.
- Lead the input and management of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems, and interact with auditors during audits.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses, account reconciliations, and special projects as required.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Vice President of Finance & IT.


**Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience is required.
- Knowledge of debt financing is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll accounting is preferred.
- Working knowledge of fund accounting for non-profit organizations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is essential.
- Proficiency in PC applications and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-wide accounting systems, particularly ERP systems, is beneficial.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) or similar large automated accounting systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills, is required.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
