Housing Support Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking dedicated Housing Support Specialists with Case Management experience to assist individuals in transitional housing environments. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about positively impacting the lives of individuals encountering housing difficulties. You will oversee a caseload of 20-25 clients, guiding them towards securing and sustaining permanent housing solutions. Shifts available include both day and swing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with clients residing in the shelter—no off-site work required.
- Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients, concentrating on 4-5 clients daily.
- Conduct daily wellness checks and room inspections, offering support and guidance.
- Facilitate group activities and de-escalate challenging situations.
- Assist clients with housing unit tours as they approach housing readiness.
- Hold weekly case management meetings, ensuring all client documentation is current and compliant.
- Address various client needs, including housing, mental health, medical issues, and domestic violence concerns.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience working with homeless populations (less than a year of experience is acceptable).
- Strong skills in documentation and record-keeping.
- Empathy and a strong commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a significant difference in the community by aiding clients in achieving housing stability and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
