Job Title: Branch Operations Specialist

The Branch Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and compliance of the branch, encompassing both sales and service functions.

This position provides direction and leadership to the teller line, emphasizing superior customer service skills, achieving sales goals, and fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the teller line, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize sales techniques to coach coworkers on recognizing customer needs and matching them to the Bank's available products and services.
  • Perform typical teller duties and assist with platform needs as required.
  • Efficiently open basic new accounts, ensuring accuracy and friendliness.
  • Assist customers with routine account maintenance and servicing issues.
  • Process monetary transactions, including cashing checks, making deposits, selling monetary instruments, and buying/selling foreign currency.
  • Manage branch cash, ensuring it does not exceed the set limit, and maintain an appropriate supply based on legal requirements and business demands.
  • Under dual control, manage vault cash and daily activity, balancing the ATM daily and ensuring it remains stocked and operating.
  • Perform audits of negotiable instruments, cash drawers, and related logs to ensure adherence to defined policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Branch Manager to track, monitor, and follow-up on transaction processing errors impacting customer accounts.
  • Perform quality reviews of CTRs and Currency Exchange logs daily.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Strong operational and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and counsel employees.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, TellerInsight, and IBS Insight for Deposit Origination.
  • 3+ years of banking experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree preferred.
