Job Title: Bank Teller Lead

Heritage Financial Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Teller Lead to join our team in Newburgh, NY. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and promoting financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service by accurately processing transactions, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Promote financial products and services to customers, identifying their needs and referring suitable solutions.
  • Assist the Branch Supervisor/Manager as needed, including balancing and maintaining ATMs and vaults, training new employees, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Supervise the branch in the absence of the Branch Supervisor/Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the branch and the branch staff.
  • Cross-sell Credit Union products and services, mentoring and coaching the teller staff on the importance of cross-sell opportunities.
  • Prepare the monthly audit package for the Branch Manager to review.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED plus two years customer service and cashier experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Notary designation or ability to attain within 6 months.
  • Experience using PC-based software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Bilingual a plus.
