Position Overview: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet specified standards and comply with legal requirements. The individual must be capable of executing essential functions and assigned tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance
  • Experience in the relevant industry
  • Ability to interpret specifications
  • Familiarity with mechanical and configuration hardware, including fasteners, brackets, wire forms, seals, and connectors
  • Proficient in mechanical inspection techniques, including the use of calipers and micrometers
  • Basic computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, word processing, internet research, and email
  • Demonstrated teamwork capabilities with minimal supervision
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and short timeline goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with order specifications and the company's quality control system
  • Document inspection results accurately and promptly
  • Communicate findings and status updates to management and engineering teams as necessary
  • Propose ideas for reducing inspection turnaround times
  • Review company records to gather information regarding product size, weight, and quality test results
  • Perform visual inspections
  • Mark products with approval or rejection stamps and prepare examination reports
