Position Overview
Project Communication Coordinator - This role functions as an integral, dedicated resource to enhance project communications within our operations. The position has a dual reporting structure, operationally aligned with the project team and functionally aligned with Corporate Marketing and Communications. M.C. Dean fosters a collaborative environment where each team member contributes to high-priority initiatives. The coordinator will lead efforts on behalf of the project lead and provide support for initiatives spearheaded by other team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Communication: Advocate for project achievements with senior client management and across the M.C. Dean project team through consistent communications, reports, and documentation of project milestones. Convert complex and technical concepts into engaging visual communications for presentations and project deliverables. Develop and refine communication materials with project teams, including reports, signage, and emergency notifications. Assist the client account lead in enhancing our customer's reputation both internally and externally. Collaborate with graphic designers on related projects.
Technical Documentation: Assist the engineering director, operations director, and project team members in drafting, editing, and submitting technical papers and white papers for client review.
Client Reporting: Collaborate with the client account leader and project teams to establish and monitor customer program and project metrics. Collect quantitative and qualitative data to fulfill client reporting requirements. Present insights and propose recommendations for further actions. Contribute to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Provide specialized client reporting as needed.
Client Account Support & Integration: Enhance direct client engagement efforts and facilitate communications and meetings between M.C. Dean and client leadership as part of the M.C. Dean client account management team. Support corporate marketing and communications by collaborating on client engagement events and providing relevant research, metrics, data, and content for white papers, marketing materials, and presentations that highlight client successes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
- 2 years of full-time or internship experience
- Experience in supporting integrated campaigns as an external or in-house consultant
- Experience in organizing marketing and employee events, site tours, and demonstrations
- Familiarity with AP Style guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in a professional services, technology, or AEC firm
- Understanding of U.S. federal contracting
- Analytical skills with research experience
- Experience in working with highly technical content tailored to both general and specialized audiences
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
- Experience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking tools
- Experience with data/statistical analysis tools
- Master's degree
