Melting Pot is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operations Supervisor; this role can be performed remotely or in a designated location. The Maintenance Operations Supervisor is primarily tasked with assessing the urgency of maintenance actions and supporting those priorities in relation to the main maintenance facility, line stations, and external service providers concerning maintenance needs. They ensure that operational and maintenance standards are upheld, facilitating the prompt deployment of safe and compliant aircraft. This position reports directly to the maintenance operations manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Maximize fleet efficiency while prioritizing safety; collaborate with flight crews and maintenance teams to identify the nature of all in-service maintenance issues. Inform the Quality Assurance Director and Vice President of Technical Operations of any irregularities; represent the maintenance planner during their absence. Initiate and coordinate necessary actions to resolve maintenance discrepancies at various locations. Assign maintenance tasks to external service providers and oversee the entire process; maintain a detailed log of activities and anomalies with a daily maintenance summary, ensuring all entries are precise and comprehensive; manage and issue all deferrals: MEL, MCO, CDL, or NEF and coordinate all ferry and test flights. Ensure that shift transitions are conducted accurately and promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance—basic knowledge of ATR is preferred. Experience in a maintenance control role is highly desirable. Must hold a FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate. Flexibility to work any shift (24/7 operation), including weekends, nights, and holidays is essential. Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel. Vocational training in aircraft maintenance or a related field is advantageous. Familiarity with TRAX is highly preferred. Proficient understanding of maintenance manuals is necessary. Competence in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
