Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Gateway Search Associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, with expertise in ADP Workforce Now and a deep understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires someone who can manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll through ADP Workforce Now. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations, including tax compliance, reconciliations, payroll audits, reporting, and employee inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Manage the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including withholding, filing, and reporting. Monitor compliance with all tax regulations and government filings.
  • Reconciliations: Perform payroll reconciliations, reviewing and verifying discrepancies related to deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Payroll Audits: Conduct regular audits of payroll data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate, review, and analyze payroll reports, providing necessary payroll data for management, finance teams, and external auditors.
  • W-2 and Year-End Processing: Manage the preparation and distribution of W-2 forms at year-end, ensuring that all employee earnings and deductions are accurately reported.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on payroll management experience, with a strong background in all aspects of payroll processing, tax calculations, W-2 preparation, and audits.
  • ADP Workforce Now Expertise: Extensive experience working with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software to manage payroll operations.
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and other compliance requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a keen ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex payroll issues effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels and respond to payroll-related inquiries in a professional manner.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including medical (100% employer paid), dental, vision, STD/LTD, employer 401(k) contribution, and unlimited PTO.
