The Healthcare Revenue Analyst II is a specialized professional with robust analytical expertise in a clinical setting, focusing on managed care and governmental reimbursement.

This position acts as a financial consultant for both clinical and administrative departments and will lead analytical projects.

As a member of the Finance Revenue team, this role will assist in Managed Care Contracting through contract modeling and revenue impact assessments to support negotiations, identify underpayments, and monitor profitability within managed care agreements.

This role will also conduct analyses concerning the financial implications of Medicare and Medi-Cal reimbursement changes to ascertain their financial and operational effects on revenue.

In addition to ongoing responsibilities, the position will aid the Revenue Finance Team with ad-hoc revenue impact evaluations related to factors such as payer mix, acuity, reimbursement, and volume.

The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining specific recurring reports associated with month-end closing and will contribute to the development of the annual Operating Revenue Budget.

The individual should demonstrate professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct, supporting the mission and vision of the department and organization. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting is essential. Effective task management and delivering quality results in a high-demand environment are required. This position will serve as a financial resource for leadership across all business units.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or healthcare administration is required.
3-5 years of experience as an analyst in a healthcare setting with a focus on managed care reporting and reimbursement is essential.
A general understanding of DRG and CPT/HCPC Medical Coding and Medical Terminology is necessary. A strong grasp of Managed Care and Government reimbursement methodologies is required.
Basic knowledge of hospital operations (

Revenue Cycle:
Registration, Patient Accounting/Billing, data processing).
Understanding of Accounting Principles and Hospital Financial Reporting is important.
