Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Support Specialist I to join our IT Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support for end-users on various applications via phone calls. This is a temp-to-hire role in our technical call center, where you will handle support calls from employees of Snap-on and Snap-on Franchisees. Your responsibilities will include resolving Level 1 support issues, troubleshooting application and connectivity problems, mail issues, etc. When faced with complex issues, you will engage or escalate to internal Snap-on resources as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- The ability to install and troubleshoot network wireless cards from multiple vendors.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Able to understand software firewalls and configuration.
- Knowledge of web technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderate PC problems.
- Basic understanding of synchronization utilities and remote assistance tools such as GoToAssist or GoToMyPC.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications, Windows 10, and IE/Chrome/Firefox.
- Experience working a flexible schedule (coverage ranging between 7:00am - 9:00pm with the ability to rotate late shifts).
Estimated Salary Range
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
