Job Title: Field Service Engineer

An international industrial equipment manufacturing company is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Field Service Engineer in Farmington Hills, MI.


Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and repair of measuring equipment.
  • Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Communicate with clients to determine suitable products for sale.
  • Frequent travel to client locations, including some out-of-state travel.
  • Follow a predictive maintenance schedule.
  • Emergency equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Typically work Monday-Friday, but occasional weekend work may be required.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements:
  • Engineering experience, education, or training is preferred.
  • Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Able to travel on short notice, both domestically and regionally.
  • Able to work nights and weekends as requested.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical activity.
  • Valid driver's license required.

This position involves working in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear.

You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
