Position Detail:
We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team for this hybrid role in Burlington, MA. Work will be primarily remote, with one day per week in our Burlington, MA office.
The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager, US, and is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including processing month-end entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash accounting and forecasting. Works closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded, tracked, and reported.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Prepare timely and accurate journal entries as required for completing the financial statement close process;
- Review and maintain monthly general ledger reconciliations to the sub-ledger on a timely basis;
- Oversee daily cash reconciliation and forecasting of multiple cash accounts in a complex legal structure with 15+ accounts;
- Manage federal and local government surveys;
- Support the year-end audit process;
- Perform ad hoc work such as projects and reports as needed in support of the accounting organization;
- Work with other departmental staff throughout the Company on month end accrual entries;
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
- Comply with all FirstLight policies and procedures.
- Associates degree in accounting, finance, business or economics, required; Bachelor's degree preferred;
- 1+ years of relevant experience in staff or general accounting;
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy;
- Outstanding time management, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Working knowledge of NetSuite, or similar accounting software;
- ZBA/Sweep experience a plus;
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to build schedules and reconciliations to fit business needs;
- Proven ability to adhere to reporting deadlines;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
