Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Mount Kisco, New York. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examination, explaining procedures, and setting up equipment to administer the proper procedure in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and explain procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and obtain consent forms for IV contrast materials.
  • Perform CT procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies, and more.
  • Adjust and ensure proper slice thickness and couch increment to capture accurate images.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists to extend parameters, if needed, within established imaging protocols.
  • Utilize special devices to reduce exposure to ionizing radiation of radiosensitive areas.
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order and perform venipuncture of the appropriate gauge necessary for examination.
  • Explain the administration of IV contrast in layman's terms and complete the IV Contrast Information Sheet with information provided by the patient, family member, or healthcare proxy.
  • Recognize and assist in the treatment of contrast agent reactions and IV extravasations.
