Job Summary

The Student Awards Specialist is a key member of the Corporate Student Financial Services Department at IEC CORP GROUP. This role is responsible for reviewing student files, evaluating financial aid applications, and performing verification to determine eligibility for Title IV funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Title IV regulations.
  • Remain compliant as established by accrediting agencies, state entities, and current established company targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial aid programs and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. This role requires the ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency, while maintaining accurate and compliant records.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a financial aid department of an accredited college or university with direct responsibility for processing Title IV activities, programs, and funding.
  • Associate's degree or comparable work experience required. Bachelor's degree with coursework in math, business, finance, auditing, or accounting preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and execute multiple priorities.
