Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  2. Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for efficacy and potential side effects, and provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  3. Facilitate group therapy sessions, educational workshops, and discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care, including aftercare support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited program.
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient environment.
  • Strong understanding of psychotropic medications, their side effects, and proper administration protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards as outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
