Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability policies and programs to reduce the City's environmental footprint.
  • Collaborate with various City departments to integrate sustainability principles into their operations and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for sustainability improvements and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Develop and manage budgets for sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to City staff on sustainability-related issues.
  • Represent the City on sustainability-related committees and working groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and national sustainability organizations and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, with a focus on program development and implementation.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
