Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated Program Director to oversee our Aquatics and Swim Team initiatives at the North Family YMCA. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced aquatics lead or coordinator looking to advance their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of lifeguards and swim lesson instructors.
- Lead the Swim Team in alignment with the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley's program standards and policies.
- Design and implement innovative programs that reflect current trends in aquatics and swim team management.
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of all members, program participants, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and enhance collaborations with educational institutions and community organizations to expand program offerings.
- Demonstrated expertise in aquatics program management, particularly in swim team operations.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with participants, parents, members, and community partners.
- Ability to manage multiple programs concurrently with a high level of efficiency.
- Capability to respond effectively to critical incidents and emergencies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $45,000 - $48,000
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage with significant employer contributions.

- Retirement plan with employer contributions after meeting eligibility criteria.
- Paid Time Off accruing at 19 days annually, with a maximum of 30 days.
