Job Summary

LMI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the primary point of contact for the NSTEM internships program at Johnson Space Center. This position will be responsible for initiating and administering all aspects of the program, including recruitment, project intake, application, placement, onboarding, and internship administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support to NASA Johnson Space Center, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for students and staff.
  • Support and assist in the use of NASA's online application and registration system for internships, fellowships, academic, research, professional development opportunities, and other learning experiences.
  • Develop and deliver educational workshops in-person and virtually for students and adult learners, focusing on STEM-related topics and skills.
  • Manage communication and engagement with center-based points of contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Support recruitment activities to attract a diverse cohort of participants, leveraging various channels and strategies to reach a broad audience.
  • Receive and review applications, and aid in the selection of a diverse cohort of participants, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators and measures of success, analyzing and summarizing disparate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Draft data collection methodologies and coordinate with appropriate organizations, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Perform special projects as requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
