Job Description

Dewberry is a leading professional services firm with a strong presence in the transportation infrastructure sector. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structures Project Manager to lead our structures department in Long Beach, CA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in structural design and project management. Prior experience with local transportation agencies and clients such as LA Metro, OCTA, SBCTA, Metrolink, local Cities and Counties is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of project work and implement business strategy to develop new client work and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Manage and deliver structures and transportation projects, with a focus on bridge and retaining wall design.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Possession of a California PE license is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the management and delivery of structures and transportation projects.
  • 10+ years of detailed design experience in bridge and retaining wall projects.
  • Experience designing transportation-related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards.
  • Familiar with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments.
  • Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) and structures design software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients.

The projected range for this position is $165,000-$220,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
