Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant | Customer Service Representative to join our team at Blueprint 30. As a Medical Assistant | Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the medical team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and representatives, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, registration, and check-in processes, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Perform various administrative and clinical duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records, under the supervision of a licensed physician or Office Manager.
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-payments and other collections, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Administer routine, non-controlled medications and perform basic laboratory procedures, including aseptic techniques and vital sign collection, under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care, and provide support with various tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA) preferred within 6 months.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills, with experience in electronic medical records and data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate.
  • Experience with third-party payors and computer systems for data entry and patient demographic management.
