Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Hotel Flor Tampa. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining company standards of cleanliness throughout the rooms section of the hotel, supervising housekeeping staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign work to Housekeeping staff and train staff in housekeeping duties.
  • Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment.
  • Report need for room repairs to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Examine carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
  • Check and count linens and supplies and communicate needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Record inspection results and inform Housekeeping staff of inadequacies.
  • Verify staffing is appropriate for business levels.
  • Operate the hotel property management system.
  • Handle lost and found inquiries and all pertinent procedures.
  • Check vacant, expected departure, and discrepant rooms.
  • Issue and inventory keys.
  • Communicate with other departments when necessary.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings.
  • Clean rooms and assist in laundry when necessary.
  • Inspect linen closets and storage areas.
Supervisory Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly supervising hourly employees in the Housekeeping department. This includes assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have at least one year of housekeeping experience and one year of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow employees.
  • Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of inspecting/cleaning guest rooms and supervisory duties.
