Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the success of your store and team by setting high performance and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach, lead, and develop all store employees to achieve new business and store growth by demonstrating knowledge of and training on systems, company standards, account management, recovery, job duties, and performance reports.
  • Lead the charge and set the example for all store employees to identify local marketing strategies, use business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtain referrals, host and participate in community and in-store events to drive growth and revenue.
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws and regulations. Audit loan/pawn agreements and transactions to ensure staff adherence to procedures and practices.
  • Supervise and maintain office security, including cash management and loss prevention by verifying and documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses.
  • Conduct proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and all relevant transactions, and assess risk within established limits.
  • Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
  • Develop work schedules in accordance with budget, workloads, and store needs. Ensure store is staffed for optimal performance.
  • Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.
  • Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address basic facilities needs, including scheduling maintenance services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years of experience and proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, service, or related industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama)
  • Background check required (subject to applicable law)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and may be required for certain locations
