Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in Annandale, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare tissue samples for pathological examination by cutting, staining, and embedding.
  • Prioritize and complete testing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tests performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Operate microtomes to section paraffin blocks and produce high-quality slides for routine and special staining procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as a Histology Technician or successful completion of Inova's Histology Tech Trainee program.
  • ASCP HT/HTL certification is not required but preferred.
