Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in medical office procedures. This role involves scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing electronic medical records. As our practice grows, we need someone who can maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients professionally.
- Schedule appointments efficiently.
- Verify and update patient information and insurance details.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage electronic medical records accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate with medical staff for smooth patient flow.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications effectively.
- Process referrals, authorizations, and paperwork as needed.
- Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks.
- Proven experience in medical reception or similar role.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
