Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer III to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with hotel systems and equipment, and implement solutions to resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of hotel facilities and services.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel systems, equipment, and procedures to provide expert support and guidance to colleagues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and tools, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration, with a focus on parts inventory and requisition.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience, with a focus on exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
