About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Magnolia Ridge Center in Gardendale, AL. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieving positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Responsible for the quality of the clinical operations of the nursing units, including compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate, and control the budget for the nursing department, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and orientation of nurses, to ensure a skilled and dedicated workforce.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current Registered Nurse/RN license by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; at least 2 years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting is required.
  • Must have knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
  • On-call availability is required.
