Job Title: LPN Gynecology Oncology

We are seeking an experienced LPN to join our Gynecology Oncology team at Compass Oncology. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our providers in delivering exceptional cancer care.

Job Summary:

This LPN position will work closely with our gynecology oncology team to provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer diagnoses. You will be responsible for addressing the acute and chronic needs of patients, answering clinical questions, and gathering information for our providers to inform care delivery decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Assist with patient preparation for procedures and examinations.
  • Observe, record, and report patient reactions to treatments and medications.
  • Order and prescribe medications as directed by providers.
  • Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and instruct patients on medication and treatment instructions.
  • Recognize when escalation is required to RN to maintain compliance with nurse practice act and state regulations for LPNs.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a practical nurse.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current American Heart Association accredited BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
