Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced LPN to join our Gynecology Oncology team at Compass Oncology. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, assisting with procedures, and observing and recording patient reactions.
  • Assist with patient education, including pre- and post-operative instructions, and provide support to patients and families.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls, instruct patients on medications and treatment instructions, and recognize when escalation is required to RN.
  • Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and current medication reconciliation.
  • Perform EKG and oximetry readings as requested by the provider, send referrals, place orders, and request medical records.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information, and initiate IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a practical nurse.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current American Heart Association accreditation.
