We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Wheaton, IL. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create personalized education plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
  • Modify Curriculum: Adapt general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Assess Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize academic growth.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development and ensure a cohesive approach to education.
  • Diverse Teaching Techniques: Employ various teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, promoting inclusivity and student engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
