This position allows for remote work with occasional meetings at local offices.

Compensation is competitive, ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess insurance policies, premiums, and coverage limits to maximize protection while managing costs.
  • Engage with insurance brokers, underwriters, and stakeholders to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate advantageous terms.
  • Collaborate with the safety department to devise and implement risk management strategies aimed at minimizing insurance claims and potential losses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations, including reporting obligations, policy renewals, and claims management.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations of insurance coverage to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on risk reduction, incident reporting, and claims investigation.
  • Oversee all claims reported to the insurance provider and ensure resolution of claims that fall below the deductible.
  • Prepare and maintain OSHA 300 and OSHA 300A reports in partnership with the Director of Safety and Risk.
  • Verify that subcontractors maintain appropriate insurance coverage before commencing work, reviewing certificates of insurance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist clients in comprehending the organization's coverage, clarifying liability, indemnification, and insurance clauses within contracts.
  • Manage and ensure that business registrations and professional service licenses (Engineering and Survey) are current and compliant with applicable laws across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Oversee and track COAs/professional licenses for all companies and assist licensed employees in monitoring their professional credentials.
  • Coordinate efforts to establish redundancy in professional licensing to prevent single points of failure.
  • Manage compliance activities for related Professional Practice Entities (PPE) in collaboration with the Legal department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of insurance principles, policies, and practices, including bond insurance.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards pertaining to business insurance and registration.
  • Knowledge of risk management strategies and techniques to mitigate organizational liabilities.
  • Established network of injury risk management resources, such as occupational clinics and triage services.
  • Experience with monopolistic state workers' compensation regulations.
  • Proficient understanding of contract language and insurance provisions for effective negotiation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically at all organizational levels.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, insurance, finance, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: Certified Insurance Compliance Professional (CICP) or similar professional designation.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the utility industry.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
  • Work primarily conducted in an office setting and at client job sites.
  • Must be able to remain stationary for at least 50% of the time.
  • Regularly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues and clients is required.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information effectively.
