Job Description

At Microchip Technology Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure systems and system components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure systems and system components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments
  • Implement and integrate IA and security systems and system components
  • Assist architects and systems developers in identifying and implementing appropriate information security functionality
  • Support the building of security architectures and enforcing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, and certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for all skill levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline (Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Seven (7) years or more of ISSE experience and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) for senior-level positions
